Repair terms
These plain-language terms outline the normal HCLR repair process. Any job-specific differences will be agreed before work proceeds.

Diagnosis and quotes
An initial estimate may change if inspection reveals additional damage or parts requirements. HCLR will obtain approval before carrying out chargeable work beyond the agreed scope.
Customer data
Customers are responsible for backing up important data where possible. Hardware and software faults can cause data loss, and data recovery can never be guaranteed.
Passwords and access
Do not send passwords through this website. If temporary access is necessary for testing, a secure arrangement will be agreed after booking.
Parts and warranty
The parts used, repair warranty and any exclusions will be stated with the quote or invoice. Warranty does not normally cover unrelated faults, physical or liquid damage, misuse, new damage or customer-supplied parts.
Unrepairable or uneconomic devices
If a repair is not technically possible or is not sensible for the device value, HCLR will explain the available options. Any agreed diagnostic, return-postage or data-recovery charge remains payable.
Postal repairs
Do not send a device until HCLR has accepted the request and issued a job reference and address. Customers are responsible for secure packing, suitable insurance and outbound transit. Return costs and method are confirmed before completion.
Uncollected devices
HCLR will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer when a device is ready. Any storage charge or disposal route for a persistently uncollected device will be communicated before action is taken.
Payment
Payment is due when the agreed work is complete and before a postal device is returned. Ownership of installed parts remains with HCLR until payment is received.
